“This past month Angelica and her husband adopted their first child, a three-year-old girl. Angelica has done many great things at Old Plank Farm over the last 11 years, but when I went to the courthouse a couple of weeks ago and watched her officially adopting that girl (who already likes tractors, bugs, and broccoli, by the way), I’ve never been more proud of her….Which is why I’m asking that we all work together to pitch in on a SURPRISE adoption gift. Her household is a one-car family, and her minivan is on its last legs. Winter is coming and her newly adopted three-year-old is a big life change. Let’s help her celebrate this new phase by all going in on a new minivan!” -Stephanie Bartel, farm owner
Consider if/what you are able to contribute. Levels of contribution to consider:
$500 or more: Do you have some savings that you’d like to put to a good cause and a great person in your community…this is the opportunity to do it! I have no doubt that Angelica will reach out to you with gratitude.
$50-$500: A very generous gift amount for this special occasion. Adopting a first child doesn’t happen everyday; it seems worthy of gifts like those for weddings, graduations, and other big life milestones.
$20-$50: Consider leaving a ‘tip’ as a thank-you for the harvest season that Angelica helped make happen..this will add up and help us reach our goal if everyone takes a few minutes to do this if they can.
