Working at Old Plank Farm
*Please read the info below, then APPLY HERE, if interested.*
How We Work
Every person who contributes to our work needs to have a positive impact on the farm. Organic farming relies on steady, solid crews in the field, and we expect everyone to pull their weight and master the skills of every task asked of them, from simple and repetitive chores to safe food handling. Crew leaders and managers work as part of the teams in the field and the packing shed.
We seek crew members who have some experience with outdoor work, a deep work ethic, attention to efficiency, a sense of humor, and a strong commitment to providing local food. All crew members should be able to: work independently or with a team, lift up to 40 lbs, and work in any weather (heat, cold, or rain). We especially seek crew members who would like to grow into crew leaders.
