Baked Apples

Serves 4

4 Large Baking Apples

2 Tbsp Butter

8 Tbsp Sugar

2 heaping tsp ground cinnamon

1.  Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees and cover baking sheet with a piece of aluminum foil.  Core the unpeeled apples straight through to the bottom.

2.  Cut 1 Tbsp butter into quarters and place the quarters on the baking sheet.  Top with the apples. placing 2 Tbsp sugar and 1/2 tsp cinnamon into each apple.  Top each apple with another 1/4 Tbsp of butter.

3.  Bake the apples in the center of the oven for 45 minutes, or until tender.

Hint:  Use the caramel formed from the sugar to drizzle over the apples before serving (or vanilla Ice Cream if you are lucky).
